Roger Chi is a Partner of 1291 Group Asia and oversees the development of the Singapore office. Roger has extensive experience working with family offices across Asia and the Middle East advising on cross border investments, succession planning, taxation, family governance, and private equity. Prior to 1291, Roger was a partner at Candareen Capital where he led their family Office advisory activities and was appointed a senior advisor to Sheikh Syed al Maktoun. Roger started his career as a venture capitalist at Brainrush Ventures - a San Francisco Bay Area venture capital firm, before joining a Monitor Company and a leading strategic consulting firm. Roger holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the UC Berkeley.

Peter Triggs is a Tax, Trust and Wealth Planning veteran with more than 30 years’ experience across Asia, The Middle East and Europe. He is now a Partner in 1291, (a wealth structuring and insurance business) lectures in Wealth Planning at the Wealth Management Institute in Singapore, and has his own consulting company. In previous capacitites, Peter served as: Managing Director, Head of Regional Wealth Planning, and Head of International Private Banking, DBS Private Bank in Singapore. Deputy CEO and Head of International Private Banking at Bank of China (Suisse) in Geneva. Managing Director, in various positions within Citibank Private Bank in London, Jersey, Geneva, Zurich and Singapore. His roles incluced Head of Citi Private Banking in Singapore and Malaysia and Head of Trust & Insurance in Asia. Prior to this, Peter was a Tax Principal for Deloitte in their London office. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Chartered Tax Advisor in the UK, a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is qualified in Insurance and Investments in Singapore. He has an Honours degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Birmingham.

Richard Grasby is an experienced trusts, funds, family office and private wealth lawyer. He has experience in multiple jurisdictions and has been admitted as a lawyer in England & Wales, the Cayman Islands and the BVI. Richard has expertise in the establishment and administration of offshore entities including trusts, companies and investment funds. He has significant experience in compliance, governance and account opening. Richard also has considerable involvement in private trust companies, family constitutions and succession planning. He has worked with clients and advisers in numerous jurisdictions. Richard lived and worked in Asia for over 12 years. Prior to that, he was based in the Cayman Islands. He has also worked in Jersey and London. Richard is the immediate past chair of the STEP Hong Kong branch, a committee member of the STEP Business Families Global Special Interest Group and a committee member of the STEP International Client Global Special Interest Group. He is a member of the Hong Kong Trustees Association and a lecturer on their Trust Training Certificate course. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.

Edmund is a senior partner heading up the firm’s Tax practice with three decades of experience in advising multinational organisations on cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing and tax disputes. He also advises on international trade issues such as customs, WTO and free-trade agreements. Edmund also leads the firm’s Trust, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice and advises high net worth individuals, private banks and trust companies in personal tax, as well as in trust and estate planning matters. Edmund was invited by the government to serve as a Judicial Commissioner at the Supreme Court and served from 2013 to 2016. On stepping down, he was appointed Senior Counsel in 2017, making him the first and only Tax and Trust lawyer to be given this accolade nationwide. Prior to his appointment to the Singapore judiciary in 2013, Edmund was named a Tier 1 lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Tax in 2012. His views on tax and wealth management were widely sought and publicised in the media, such as Bloomberg, BBC, Channel NewsAsia, Reuters, The Financial Times and The Straits Times. He was also a founding partner of a Singapore law firm that was associated with an international law firm, where he headed up the Tax and Wealth Management practices in Singapore. Edmund is a former President and an honorary member of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA).

Rohit Ganguli is the Head of Wealth Planning Asia at EFG Bank, he has two decades of experience working with clients to assist them in achieving their wealth planning objectives especially in relation to succession, legacy and asset protection needs. This often involves the use of trusts, foundations, corporate entities and other holding vehicles. Rohit is responsible for all aspects of the insurance activity in EFG in Asia. This involves supporting all insurance related discussions – including identifying life insurance referral opportunities based on clients’ wealth and liquidity planning needs, extensively interacting with external counter parties (such as insurance brokers and carriers) and also actively engaging with related stake holders within the bank. He manages all discussions around single family offices (SFO) and works closely with clients on the benefits and processes involved in the set up of SFOs. Rohit has a background in accountancy and also holds a Master’s degree in International Tax Law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He is a registered trust and estate practitioner (TEP) and holds a diploma from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is also certified with the Singapore College of Insurance. He has worked across geographies and has been with Big 4 consulting firms and MNCs prior to joining the bank.

Bryan Henning is a wealth management specialist with over 30 years of experience. He represents Eton Solutions as Senior Vice President of International Sales. Bryan is based in Singapore, where he leads Sales & Marketing efforts in the Asia Pacific region. As Senior VP of International Sales, he leads client interactions, sales, implementation, and services throughout the Asia Pacific region and supports all company operations in Singapore. Throughout his multi-decade career, Bryan has worked in banking and wealth management, leading divisions for Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays Wealth, and HSBC, where he developed and managed all aspects of wealth management offerings to retail, mass affluent, HNW, and UHNW clients. While Bryan has successfully built and run wealth management and investment product and services businesses in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, the majority of his experience is based in Asia. He is a Permanent Resident of Singapore, where he currently resides, and he has Canadian and Australian roots.

Dominic Volek is Group Head of Private Clients at Henley & Partners and a member of the Executive Committee. Originally from South Africa, he now spends his time between London, Dubai, and Singapore as a private client specialist in residence and citizenship planning and provides advice to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families across the globe. His work targets countries that are deemed most attractive to wealthy individuals in terms of mobility, security, privacy, personal tax, estate planning, and lifestyle. He is also a member of the firm’s Government Advisory practice, providing strategic advice to governments on the design, implementation, and promotion of successful investment migration programs. Dominic is a certified Chartered Accountant CA (SA), holding both a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with Honors and Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication. Prior to joining Henley & Partners, Dominic had a successful career as part of the Senior Management team in one of the big four accounting and advisory firms in Singapore, South Africa, and the USA. Dominic is frequently sought after as a speaker and thought leader on residence and citizenship planning, and he regularly provides commentary on the Henley Passport Index. He has been interviewed by top-tier media such as BBC, Quartz, and Bloomberg.

Gisela Bergmann, Princess of Liechtenstein, is actively involved in Relationship Management and is Managing Director and CEO of Industrie- und Finanzkontor Etablissement, a leading trust company with a tradition and expertise in the long-term and multi-generational preservation of wealth, family values and businesses. Previously she was vice-president at Hannam & Partners, a boutique investment bank in London. Prior to this she was active for several years in Canada, Singapore and Switzerland. Princess Gisela holds a BSc and MSc degree in environmental engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ).

Lee Wong is Head of Family Services, Asia at Lombard Odier. Lee is responsible for leading Lombard Odier’s wealth planning and family services proposition, which is a key component of the Bank’s growth strategy in the region. Before joining Lombard Odier, Lee amassed over 22 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She joined from Union Bancaire Privée in Singapore, where she was Head of Wealth Planning for South Asia and was responsible for leading a team advising high net worth clients on their family wealth transition, family governance, as well as philanthropic aspirations. Lee is a member of the MAS-EDB Family Office workgroup as well as the Wealth Management Institute’s expert panel on Family Offices. She is a regular trainer for Singapore Management University for IBF certification courses on wealth planning and family office. She is also a trainer for Wealth Management Institute’s family office advisor program. Lee holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore. She is a Chartered Trustee appointed by the Singapore Trustee Association.

Sharon is the Country Head, Singapore and Head of Private Clients for Ocorian. She has 20 years’ experience in the provision of financial, regulatory, corporate and fiduciary services while working in financial institutions, family offices and business outsourcing companies globally. Apart from working many years with private and corporate clients, she is very experienced in establishing and managing family offices, which includes sitting on the boards of family offices. Her international career has enabled her to develop an acute sense of culture awareness thus not only building strong client relationships but also helping clients navigate complex issues with a clear and steady focus on their goals. With an outstanding track record in delivery and execution, Sharon’s expertise is in successfully turning around business operations whilst upholding the highest levels of corporate governance. As a result, she has led numerous business expansions throughout Asia. Sharon is also an accountant and was formerly in senior roles with Citigroup, BNP Paribas and private family offices. Sharon joins us from TMF Group where she held several senior leadership roles in Singapore, Philippines and Malaysia.

Alexandra is a Swiss qualified lawyer with Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP. As a certified inheritance law specialist, she advises European and Asian private clients and high net worth families on all trust and estate matters. She assists her clients in the fields of cross-border matrimonial and inheritance laws, wealth and estate planning as well as probate and estate administration. She understands both civil law and common law jurisdictions and assists clients with Swiss and European links on finding the most suitable structuring. Alexandra further covers relocations between Switzerland and Asia by advising her clients across the entire spectrum of their legal needs in connection with the move.

Lay Lian graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1985 and is called to the bar in 1986. She specialises in family and private wealth and estate and trust matters. She is on the panel of associate mediators and the panel of collaborative family lawyers with the Singapore Mediation Centre. She is also a Parenting Coordinator. She is the co-chair of the Law Society of Singapore of Singapore Family Law Practice Committee as well as the co-chair of the Probate and Succession Practice Committee. Lay Lian is also a member of the Legal Information Committee of the Singapore Armed Forces Reservist Association (SAFRA) offering pro bono legal information / advice to the Singapore Armed Forces Reservist Association for more than 15 years. She is also a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners.

Zac has experience in all areas of international private client law including cross border tax, trust, estate, family, divorce and succession laws. Zac also has extensive experience advising in relation business family and family office governance and succession planning, and international private client regulatory laws, including the Common Reporting Standard, Mandatory Disclosure Rules, Economic Substance Rules and Beneficial Ownership Registers.

Christopher Tanchou works as Head of Business Development at Swiss Life Singapore. He has 13 years of working experience within Swiss Life in various locations (Zurich, Luxembourg and Singapore) where he has been specializing in the life insurance solutions for HNWI distributed through International Brokers. With his expertise in the Wealth Structuring area as well as Business Development, he is well suited to managing partner relationships in order to support business submissions. Christopher has now been working for 8 years in Singapore, focusing on servicing key partners, the development of new partnerships, and the distribution of Variable Universal Life (VUL) and Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) in Asia.

Claire Tan joins Swiss Life with an extensive experience across various industries which include family office, asset management, private banking and insurance. Her specialties include HNW business development, strategic relationship development and holistic wealth planning. Claire’s expertise in HNW relationship development as well as investment management arms her with the right knowledge and skill sets to provide sophisticated advice on VUL and PPLI cases

Hrishi is a member of the leadership team at Taurus. He has over 16 years of private banking experience across New York, London, Singapore and East and Southern Africa. He has worked in the private banking divisions of Citibank, Barclays Wealth and Standard Chartered. Hrishi has managed high net worth clients based in Kenya, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa. He has leveraged his knowledge and experience in banking, credit, investments, and wealth structuring to address the financial needs of clients. At Taurus, he advises families of various nationalities based in Zambia, Botswana and Singapore. His extensive experience across East and Southern Africa allowed Taurus to establish a footprint in Africa. He travels to Zambia, Botswana and Kenya to continue to develop strong relationships with clients who require a family office service. In 2017, Hrishi won the Outstanding Young Private Bankers Award at the Private Banker International Global Wealth Summit and Awards. Hrishi is from Kerala, India and grew up in Tanzania, Zambia and Swaziland, but maintains strong ties with Kerala. He earned his International Baccalaureate Diploma from Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa in Swaziland. He has a BA in Economics with distinction from Cornell University in the US and Masters in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering also from Cornell. He has an MBA from the INSEAD business school. Hrishi is a keen tennis player and golfer. He is married with one son and takes his family time very seriously.

Hengka focuses on international tax and transaction tax and advises on a variety of cutting-edge tax matters, including as they relate to tax planning and compliance, tax-efficient structuring, and tax dispute resolution. Hengka is also a trusted adviser in relation to wealth planning and he serves numerous Chinese Ultra HNWI, leading private banks and family offices for global asset protection scheme and handle their offshore trust, ESOP, CRS, immigration, and succession matters. Beyond that, Hengka contributes substantial efforts on non-profit and philanthropy legal practice. He is a pioneer lawyer in the NGO sector and has advised more than 50 international NGOs, United Nations Agency and charitable foundations and philanthropist on a full range of legal issues, advising the legal implications under INGO Law, handling transactions and day-to-day operation for these entities and representing them in structuring, entity formation, fundraising, donation, due diligence, tax incentives application, governance, litigation and internal compliance investigation. He has been appointed to serve as the China representative of CEPI and authorized representative of one famous international educational NGO. Henry is also selected as the Global Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar, and Asia Fellow of AVPN for Impact Investment (funded by Ford Foundation).
