Shrikant Bhat is the CEO of the AIA Group’s Investments Linked & Pensions Business that includes over $40B of investment assets across the 18 markets that AIA Group serves. Shrikant Bhat joined AIA group over 4 years ago, as the Head of Funds as part of AIA Group Investments team to set up and oversee the funds strategy. Asia has amongst the fastest growing and largest pools of savings and investments. As a veteran wealth management professional with almost 3 decades of business experience across sales management, product management, retail banking, wealth management, business transformation, treasury and credit cards, Shrikant has leveraged his expertise to establish the funds business to drive the AIA Group’s ambition to help customers save and invest better for the long term. In his career, he has held various senior positions covering client segments from High Net worth Individuals to Mass Affluent and across diverse functions. Prior to joining AIA Group in 2019, he was Managing Director and Regional Head of Investments, Citibank overseeing 17 markets in Asia, Europe and Middle East. In that role he was responsible for overall P&L and products strategy covering mutual funds, fixed income, structured products, equity brokerage and portfolio finance for consumer banking clients. Since his appointment in AIA he has led the Funds business strategy. Starting with establishment of funds vehicles in Luxembourg and Singapore across traditional (listed equity and fixed income) and private assets respectively, he now heads the Unit Linked and Pensions Business for the Group to drive the Group’s foray into Savings and Investments market Shrikant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University as well Post Graduate from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM, Calcutta)

Investment professional with 35+ years experience of buy and sell side of the banking businesses. I have managed numerous strongly performing investment and advisory teams in large banks in Europe and more recently in Asia and the Middle East. I have built businesses from scratch and successfully restructured businesses. I have had links with Asia and particularly Singapore since 1999 when I managed money for the GIC, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Brunei government. The core of my career was the 11 years at JPMorgan where I made Managing Director. On the buy side I have worked for asset management firms (e.g. JPMorgan) and private banks (Barclays, Merrill Lynch, Coutts, Emirates NBD and NBAD). I have a reputation for making bold calls on the markets. I made major bear calls on equity markets in 1987, at the top of the tech boom and the financial crisis in August 2007, and a bull call on equity markets on March 17th 2009. I have been a high profile with the media regularly appearing in the printed press and on TV. I often speak at conferences and provide industry thought leadership on a number of macro and investment topics. In the past I made a presentation to the European Parliament on the outlook for asset markets after the introduction of the euro. I am highly regarded for my team leadership, the rigour and intellect I bring to the investment process, my attention to governance and ethics, and my affinity with clients in presentations and meetings. I was voted Private Banker of the year 2015 (MENA) from Wealth Briefing.

Marc Lansonneur joined DBS in October 2014. Based in Singapore, he is leading the Wealth Managed Solutions and Investment Governance group. His team of specialists cover managed products such as Funds (Unit Trusts, Private Equity, Hedge Funds), Funds Selection and Discretionary Portfolios. Marc is a member of DBS Group Sustainability Council. Previously Marc was working for Société Générale where he held various positions in Private Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking in Asia, Europe and America. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. A French National, Marc holds a Master in Business Administration from E.S.S.E.C in Paris (France).

Drawing upon his extensive leadership experience and industry knowledge, Arjan is responsible for the entire products and services offering in Asia and overlooks the regional investment strategy. Arjan started his financial career with Hollandsche Bank Unie (HBU), serving Private, Corporate and Institutional clients within a dealing room environment, and subsequently became Head of Treasury & Special Products Private Clients in the Netherlands. He has over 14 years of experience with ABN AMRO Private Banking, of which more than 7 years were spent in Asia. In early 2006, he relocated to Singapore to take up the position of Regional Head of Treasury & Special Products for Private Banking in Asia with ABN AMRO. With his strong understanding of the needs of Asian clients, Arjan moved to Hong Kong in April 2010 and was appointed Head of Private Banking for North Asia. Following this, he was appointed Head of North Asia at ANZ Private Bank before being appointed Head of Integration for ANZ Retail & Private Wealth Asia in April 2016. Arjan was appointed Head of Markets & Investment Solutions Asia at Indosuez Wealth Management in February 2017. Arjan graduated with a Master of Science in Business Economics from Nyenrode University, the Netherlands.

Andrew Hendry is Head of Distribution, Asia at Janus Henderson Investors. In this role, his primary focus is to maintain, grow and diversify the distribution business across Asia (excluding Japan and Australia). Prior to joining the firm, he was head of distribution Asia Pacific at Aberdeen Standard Investments from 2018. He was a managing director at Westoun Advisors from 2016 and head of Asia Pacific, managing director with M&G Investments from 2011. Andrew began his career at The Capital Group Companies in 1998, most recently as director of Global business development from 2002. Andrew received his MA degree in Economics and French from St Andrews University and an MBA from INSEAD. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 24 years of financial industry experience

Harmen Overdijk is Chief Investment Officer of Leo Wealth, a Hong Kong based asset management firm focused on fee-based asset management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder and has an MSc in economics from Tilburg University, The Netherlands.

Mr Eddy Loh is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Maybank Group Wealth Management. He is responsible for developing investment and asset allocation strategies for wealth clients across all segments in the region. Armed with more than 20 years of experience, Eddy is a seasoned investment professional with exposure to a diverse range of industries and geographies. Prior to joining Maybank in 2019, he had held roles as senior investment strategist and equity analyst at Credit Suisse, Bank of Singapore, Barclays, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and DBS. Being fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, he is a regular guest on numerous business TV and radio shows, sharing the bank’s latest views on the market. Based in Singapore, Eddy is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Ivey School of Business as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore.

Gareth Nicholson joined Nomura in July 2021 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for International Wealth Management. He is based in Singapore. Gareth works closely with Nomura’s Global Markets and Investment Banking businesses to expand the firm’s product offerings and spearhead a streamlined, solutions-driven coverage effort for high-net-worth clients, external asset managers and family offices. With a strong institutional investment background, he creates and manages DPM strategies for fixed income, equity and multi-asset portfolios, while providing risk management support. Gareth has over 16 years of experience in financial markets. Prior to Nomura, he was Head of Fixed Income DPM at Bank of Singapore, where he was also a member of its investment committee. Before that, he was with Aberdeen Standard Investments for almost 10 years as a fixed income trader and an Asian credit portfolio manager. He began working in finance in 2004 as a derivatives specialist with Deutsche Asset Management after an early career as a mathematics teacher. Gareth holds a BSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Johannesburg. He was born and raised in East London, South Africa.

Juan Aronna is the head of Investment Solutions and Products at Royal Bank of Canada's Wealth Management business in Asia, based in Hong Kong. He joined RBC Wealth Management Asia in 2014 from UBS Wealth Management, Asia Pacific, where he held the role of executive director and head of Asia Portfolio Management Hub and head of Investment Solutions Singapore for 12 years. Juan is the chairman of Asia Investment Committee (AIC). He is responsible for the portfolio strategy. Juan holds a MBA degree in Economics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, with a specialization in macroeconomics and monetary policy.

Tan Woon Hum is widely regarded as one of the rare senior market leaders specialising in investment funds, REITs and trusts, especially Variable Capital Companies (VCCs) and family offices. He heads a team of specialist lawyers in the Trust, Asset & Wealth Management practice at major Singapore law firm Shook Lin & Bok LLP. He is ranked as a Band 1 leading investment funds lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific since 2014 and top 100 lawyer in Singapore by Asia Business Law Journal in 2023. He advises on fund formation, (including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds and single-family funds) using Singapore funds (including VCC) and offshore funds structures (eg. Cayman LP funds and segregated portfolio companies). He drafts and reviews the full range of fund documents and is extremely well versed with independent asset managers, external asset managers, multi-family offices and single-family offices, and has an extremely strong track record in securing the relevant regulatory licences and exemptions. His excellent and long-term professional relationship with the local regulators, authorities and major industry players add credence to his practice. He has advised on and helped clients launched about 100 VCCs as at May 2023. He has extensive experience in advising private clients (including ultra-high net worth individuals and single-family offices) and trustees on the establishment of private trusts, family offices, single-family funds, Sections 13O and 13U (formerly 13R and 13X) structures and drafts trust documents, fund documents, global investor programme documents and family charters. Woon Hum is bi-lingual (English and Mandarin), has a law degree and a MBA (Finance). He is a highly sought after speaker and speaks regularly at public conferences, forums and seminars since 2002 in Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Dubai, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh and Kuala Lumpur.

Ritesh is the Head of Investment Advisory at Syfe and has over 15 years of experience in the financial markets. Before Syfe, Ritesh was a Private Wealth Advisor at Goldman Sachs covering ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, and corporates across the region. Ritesh started his career at Morgan Stanley, where he rose to become Vice President, Market Risk and developed portfolio risk & margin policies for key institutional and prime brokerage hedge fund clients. Ritesh holds an MBA from the prestigious University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Noli has worked in the financial services industry across four continents for over 25 years. After working as a financial consultant for AXA in Los Angeles, Noli joined UnionBank of the Philippines in 1996 where he was the trust officer and later, the head of market risk management. In 2002 he moved to HSBC where he handled marketing, product development and training for the wealth management business. He was then assigned to the Channel Islands in the United Kingdom to train HSBC Bank International’s financial advisers around the world from 2005-08. He returned to Manila to head HSBC’s trust department before joining EastWest Bank where he was the trust officer and chief investment officer. Noli joined Singapore asset manager TriLake Partners Pte Ltd as their chief investment officer in 2016. A cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines School of Economics, Noli has taught Advanced Investment Management in the university’s masteral program in Finance. He earned his CFA charter in 2001 and is a former president of the CFA Society of the Philippines. He remains an active volunteer with the CFA Program and has served CFA Institute in various working committees for the last fifteen years.

Thomas Rupf is an internationally accomplished banking industry executive and the Chief Investment Officer Asia & Head of Trading of VP Bank Ltd Singapore branch. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing and leading the team in Asia to support the offices in Singapore and Hong Kong through the development and marketing of investment ideas and solutions to the Asia Private Banking and Independent Asset Managers business. In addition, he is responsible for managing the trading desk in Asia. Thomas joined VP Bank Group in 2007 and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry in Asia and Europe. He has worked in various fields within Trading, Investment Consulting, and Investment Advisory. Thomas is a CFA, CAIA, and FRM charterholder.

Eric has 30 years of experience in asset management and wealth management. He has held senior roles in management, sales and strategy as a Managing Director at AllianceBernstein, Hartford Funds and New York Life. Eric is based in Ho Chi Minh City and is responsible for sales and marketing for VinaCapital Asset Management’s retail and institutional businesses. Eric earned a BA from Occidental College in Diplomacy & World Affairs, with a Minor in Asian Studies.
