UBS GWM Asia Pacific Undergoes Leadership Changes

In a recent development at UBS Global Wealth Management (GWM) Asia Pacific, Enrico Mattoli, the head of the direct investment group, has parted ways with the institution.

UBS has chosen to split his Hong Kong-based position into two distinct roles.

Mattoli had a significant influence in the Asia Pacific region, directing investment advice and integrated solutions through UBS' wealth management, investment banking, and asset management arms.

The bank's direct investment group is renowned for its emphasis on private enterprises, private debt and credit, and investment in real estate and infrastructure funds.

The recent merger with Credit Suisse has prompted changes, with Edith Chan and Vishal Rathee stepping in as the joint heads of the direct investment group for the Asia Pacific region. Both Chan and Rathee have previously served in UBS GWM, operating out of Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively.

Mattoli, boasting over two decades of service at UBS, has held a plethora of positions, including the market head global family office for Greater China, and has contributed to the bank's operations in regions like Italy and London.

When approached for a statement on the recent changes, the bank's spokesperson opted not to comment.
