StanChart bolsters North Asia private banking team

Standard Chartered Private Bank has announced a series of strategic appointments to enhance its client coverage across the Greater China and North Asia region.

Jack Wu and Pauline Ko join the bank in the capacity of managing directors, market heads, based in Hong Kong.

Wu has over 27 years of private and commercial banking experience. Most recently, he was managing director and team head for Greater China at HSBC Private Bank.

Ko, with 22 years’ experience, was most recently managing director, group head of Greater China at Deutsche Bank. 

Other leadership roles that Standard Chartered has filled include Pitman Lau, managing director and team leader, who joins the bank from BNP Paribas, and Reggie Cheung, executive director and team leader, who was most recently with HSBC. 

Further, the regional front-office team has been boosted with 10 additional relationship managers.

At the same time, the bank’s investment advisory team is also strengthened with the appointments of Chris Tang, Kwok-On Fung and Chris Tong, as executive directors, investment advisory.
