Raffles Family Office Widens Asia Footprint to Support Business Growth and New Ecosystem Strategy

Multi-family office strengthens position with larger facilities, pioneering incubation platform and Beijing presence.

Raffles Family Office (RFO) today announced the opening of its new and expanded headquarters at The Center in Hong Kong and concurrent expansion in Singapore to support its strong business growth trajectory and the rollout of its Raffles Ecosystem offering.

Designed to help single-family offices (SFOs) from Asia and beyond extend their reach and capabilities across the region by leveraging RFO’s network and specialist services, Raffles Ecosystem is a physical workspace in which SFOs can house their operations. The inaugural facility is situated adjacent to RFO’s Hong Kong headquarters and is already home to two Raffles Ecosystem partner firms. Each is provided with a private office and access to a communal lounge – complete with a relaxation zone, pool table, ping pong table and pantry – as well as RFO’s rich suite of supporting services that include fund and governance solutions and a broad selection of advisory offerings. Ecosystem partners in Singapore also receive exclusive access to a hot desk area next to the firm’s enlarged office.

“We’re greatly looking forward to participating further in the evolving family office space in Asia,” said Raffles Family Office CEO and founder Chiman Kwan. “And to this purpose, I’m pleased to introduce Raffles Ecosystem, an incubation facility aimed at strengthening Asia-based SFOs and attracting those from outside the region. As a company with a single office family heritage, we’re acutely aware of their wealth management needs and challenges. Through Raffles Ecosystem, we hope to provide SFOs with the support and services they need to grow, which will be significantly enhanced thanks to the expanded resources in our Hong Kong and Singapore locations.”

In addition to the larger Hong Kong and Singapore offices, RFO has extended its geographic reach to another leading financial center in the region – Beijing. The new office is headed by Annie Hu, Executive Director who recently joined to oversee the firm’s business in mainland China. Ms. Hu is well versed in providing asset management solutions to ultra-high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs across the country and supporting the financing needs of Chinese enterprises.

“I’m delighted to be joining Raffles Family Office at such an exciting time in its expansion,” said Ms. Hu. “With its existing presence in Shanghai and now an on-the-ground team in Beijing, I believe RFO is extremely well placed to understand and serve the needs of China’s fast-growing ultra-high-net-worth individuals.”

With the addition of its Beijing branch, RFO now has five locations across Asia, including offices in Shanghai and Taipei. This translates to a regional physical footprint of 35,000 square feet and capacity to house 350 employees; a headcount it aims to reach within the next two years in line with its accelerated growth rate.
