PineBridge Appoints Head of Intermediary Distribution in APAC and EMEA

PineBridge has recently appointed Nicolas Kopitsis as the new head of intermediary distribution for the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions.

In his new role based in Singapore, Kopitsis will lead the company's intermediary business strategy, focusing on distribution to private banks, family offices, retail banks, insurers, and distribution platforms, particularly in the UK, Switzerland, and major Asian markets.

With over two decades of experience in intermediary roles across Europe and Asia, Kopitsis brings extensive expertise to PineBridge. Before this appointment, he served as the head of wealth management for Asia at PineBridge since 2021 and previously held a similar role at BNY Mellon in Singapore, focusing on Asia outside of Japan. Sergio Ramirez, PineBridge's chief revenue officer and head of the global client group, highlighted the firm's significant growth in assets under management, which increased by 50% over the past five years.

As of September 30, 2023, PineBridge managed $155.2 billion globally across various asset classes. Ramirez emphasized the critical role of intermediary channels, especially private banks, in PineBridge's strategy for future growth.
