BNP Paribas Appoints New Head of Wealth Management for Taiwan

Paris-based financial institution BNP Paribas has made a significant announcement regarding its wealth management operations in Taiwan. The bank has named Kate Lin as the new head of wealth management for Taiwan, marking a strategic move in the region.

In her new role, Kate Lin will report to Arnaud Tellier, the CEO of Asia Wealth Management, and Manon Breuvart, the CEO of Taiwan. Lin's primary responsibilities will involve overseeing BNP Paribas' onshore wealth management teams in Taiwan and spearheading the institution's growth initiatives within the Taiwanese market.

Kate Lin brings with her an impressive 25-year career in the banking sector. Notably, she spent seven years as the head of consumer, private, and business banking at Standard Chartered. Lin's journey in the financial industry began at Citibank, where she initially served as Taiwan's Sales & Distribution Director.

Kate Lin's appointment comes as she succeeds Tina Hsieh, who is set to retire at the end of October, making this transition a crucial milestone for BNP Paribas' wealth management operations in Taiwan.
