Profile:
Tariq sets up and manages the investment portfolios of retirement plans at his firm GFM Group in Hong Kong and the US. He is the author of the book “Invest Outside the Box: Understanding Different Asset Classes and Strategies” and a frequent speaker on ETFs, 401(k) plans, IRAs, ORSO and international investing. Prior to this, he worked at Bear Stearns, JP Morgan, CIBC and Societe Generale in New York, Toronto, London, and Hong Kong. His experience spans equity, fixed income, commodity and currency markets across America, Europe, and Asia. Tariq also teaches fixed income and alternative investments at the CFA Society and ESSEC Business School in Singapore. With 20 years' experience across global markets and asset classes and two major bubble bursts, Tariq’s mission is to raise the standards of transparency international pensions have over the stocks and bonds they own.
