Mr. Paul George Nguyen is Vice President and General Director of Manulife Vietnam from May 21st, 2014.
Mr. Paul has over 25 years of international insurance experience having worked in Canada, USA, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Vietnam. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
Prior to his current appointment, he was Deputy Country President and Appointed Actuary of an international life insurance company in Vietnam, where he provided leadership to a variety of functions including product development, strategic development for new distribution channels, information technology, agency administration, business intelligence and legal.
Before that, Mr. Paul enjoyed a progressive career with other insurers primarily in actuarial, product development, distribution and strategy space.
Vietnamese by birth, Mr. Paul was raised in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto, majoring in Statistics and Actuarial Science. Mr. Paul is multilingual with fluency in English, Vietnamese and Bahasa Indonesia. He is well known not only as a charismatic leader but also as a family-oriented person and an active community supporter.
