Vira-anong Chiranakhorn Phutrakul was appointed to the position of Consumer Business Manager, Global Consumer Group, Citi Thailand in November, 2015. The Consumer Banking franchise has over one million customers with Cards/Credit Lines/Loans/Retail Banking products and related services. The Business operates with 2000 staff through 3 bank branches, 31 non-bank branches and 2 operating centers.Prior to her appointment, Vira-anong was Managing Director, Country Retail Banking and Branch Distribution Head of Citibank Thailand. In this role, she was responsible for wealth management and retail banking products, as well as all Citi branches in Thailand. Prior to this, she was the Consumer Lending Head and Chairman of the Board for Citicorp Leasing (Thailand) Ltd. In that role, she was responsible for revolving and personal loan products and Citi Network branch distribution. Vira-anong received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Scripps College, Claremont, California where she studied economics and accounting. She also received an MBA in finance, accounting and international management from Boston College, Boston, Massachusetts.
