Profile:
Ashley Dale is the Chief Marketing Officer of Mirae Asset Global Investments (HK). In this role, he oversees the distribution and business development activities in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East for Mirae Asset’s cross-border mutual fund products. Additionally, he works closely with the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) Division in driving the sales and marketing activities for the Hong Kong-listed Horizons Exchange Traded Funds series of products.
With 19 years of experience in emerging markets equities, Ashley has led teams focused on sales and marketing activities for the European and Asian equity markets. Ashley joined Mirae Asset Securities in 2009 as Head of Equity UK Sales, after which he was relocated to Hong Kong to become Global Head of Sales, managing the equity sales across all international offices including Hong Kong, London, New York and Seoul. He was subsequently appointed as its Chief Executive Officer in 2012.
Prior to joining Mirae Asset, Ashley has held a number of senior roles including CEO at Morgan Dale Capital LLP, a UK based fund manager, and Head of UK/EU Sales at CLSA where he managed a large front office sales team and distribution into institutional clients. He has also been a Partner and Portfolio Manager at GLS Capital, an emerging market equity fund and held Head of Asia Sales positions at both Bear Stearns (UK) and SG Securities (UK).
Ashley is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and has served in the British Army, where he earned the rank of Captain. He served in Northern Ireland, Germany and Canada and was awarded the NI Medal in 1990.
