Xen appoints Chief Commercial Officer

Xen Technologies, a next-generation investment platform offering easy access to exclusive private market opportunities, has announced the appointment of Alastair Ding as Chief Commercial Officer.

In the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer, Ding will be responsible for driving Xen’s business development and sales efforts to further increase assets accessed through the platform. He brings over two decades of experience and insights in treasury and investment advisory services to institutional and non-institutional investors and will be forging new partnerships for Xen with these investors across Asia.

Ding has worked for financial institutions such as ABN AMRO Bank, Credit Suisse, Citi, HSBC Futures, and Nikko Asset Management and also has contributed to delivering executive education at the Singapore Wealth Management Institute, according to a press release.

Prior to joining XEN, he served as Country Head and Sales Director of Value Partners Group’s asset management business in Singapore.

Katrina Cokeng, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder, Xen, said “Alastair’s breadth of experience makes him a valuable addition to Xen’s senior team and will be a driving force to growing Xen’s distribution capabilities and establishing long-term relationships with new partners in the region. Our team will continue to grow alongside the increased demand for better access to top-tier private market investments, with this period of economic uncertainty highlighting investors’ preferences for diversification and better returns.”

Alastair Ding, Chief Commercial Officer, Xen, said “I greatly look forward to working closely with the experienced team leading Xen as we enter 2020 with a tremendous growth outlook. Xen recognizes that improved accessibility, liquidity and transparency will be the future of private market opportunities. Backed by industry leading experts, Xen is positioned to attract and capture the next generation of wealth and service their wealth management needs.”

Xen was launched in late 2018 by a team of former asset managers, traders and fintech veterans. The firm has a wholly owned subsidiary, Xen Capital Asia, which is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and holds a Capital Markets Services License for dealing in securities and collective investment schemes. In the past year, Xen has appointed Yong Hak Huh, former CIO of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and Bernard Phang, former Managing Director of GIC, to its Advisory Board.
