Waterfield Advisors announces appointment of Chief Investment Officer

Waterfield Advisors, a leading Indian multi-family office, has announced the appointment of Nimish Shah as Chief Investment Officer - Listed Investments.

Shah joins Waterfield from BNP Paribas Wealth Management, where he was most recently Head of Investments, according to his LinkedIn. He brings over two decades of experience to his new role, beginning his career in financial services with Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services in 1995.

In addition, he has been affiliated with Tata AIA Life Insurance and Citi Private Banking, where he was most recently Director & Head of India Investments. In 2016, he joined State Bank of India, where he was Head of Wealth Management Investments, Research & Products, before moving to BNP Paribas in Q1 2019.

Waterfield Advisors was founded in 2011 and works with family owned businesses, trusts & endowments and single-family offices in several investment and non-investment related areas, according to the firm’s bio, offering  holistic advice to its clients.

The firm recently celebrated its 9th anniversary, noting that it, as of August 2020, advises on assets totalling a value of over USD3.5 billion on behalf of over 60 Indian families, which the firm achieves from its 5 Indian offices.
