UCAP Securities announces appointment of Hong Kong CEO

Union Capital Group (UCAP) has reportedly appointed Tary Huang as the new Chief Executive Officer of UCAP Securites (HK), with Huang joining the firm on 7 October 2020.

Huang brings over thirty years of experience to his new role, spanning the private banking, investment banking, corporate banking, and consulting sectors, UCAP said in a memo. Prior to joining UCAP Securities (HK).

Prior to joining UCAP, Huang was most recently the Managing Director at EFG Bank AG, Hong Kong Branch. In addition, he held a number of senior management roles at firms such as Standard Bank of South Africa (Taipei Branch), Concord Securities, Sxsun Securities Investment Consultant Enterprise, and Salomon Smith Barney. He had also previously served at Shearson Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific).

Of Huang’s appointment, UCAP said: “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to have Tary contribute in building the sustainability and growth of the Group’s footprint in Asia and Greater China. With his roots in the region, he is well-positioned to take on the new opportunities that await.”
