T. Rowe Price appoints Tina Siu as Director of Institutional Business for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau

Siu assumed the position on August 8 and is responsible for developing and managing institutional client relationships in the markets. She is based in Hong Kong and reports to George Chow, Head of Institutional Business, who oversees the
Firm’s institutional distribution efforts in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

Siu brings over 15 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to this role, she was responsible for the development of Hong Kong and Macau’s institutional and pension business across Invesco’s platform, supporting its build-out in different targeted segments. Before that, she held regional institutional sales roles in Syz Asset Management and GAM Group as senior vice president to grow their presence in Hong Kong and Asia ex-Japan markets.

“The appointment of Tina complements the continued expansion of our institutional business in the region. As we grow the team,  our priority remains working closely with clients to meet their fast-changing needs with relevant capabilities and solutions as well as timely insight to help them tackle market headwinds. With Tina’s extensive experience servicing asset owners, we will be able to further enhance our support for clients in today’s dynamic investment landscape,” Chow said.

“Seeking diversification and managing investment risks are increasingly important for asset owners particularly in an uncertain environment, and at T. Rowe Price, we are dedicated to addressing these needs. This includes enhancing our solution offerings and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) capabilities and building out a private markets platform with the acquisition of Oak Hill Advisors, a leading global alternative credit manager,” Chow added.

T. Rowe Price established its presence in Asia ex-Japan with the opening of its Hong Kong office in 1987. The Firm has a long track record of serving institutional investors in Asia, and currently manages separate accounts for institutional clients in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, offering them access to the Firm’s equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives investment strategies.
