Standard Chartered launches ‘My RM’

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) has announced the launch of a new personalised wealth management tool, ‘My RM.’

The brand-new function, which is embedded in the Bank’s online banking and mobile banking platforms, allows clients to interact with their relationship managers and access to latest market information remotely from homes, offices or on the road.

Combining the unit trust, foreign exchange and security trading capabilities on the Bank’s digital platforms with a human touch, investing has never been that easy, according to a press release by Standard Chartered.

My RM is a breakthrough in the Bank’s digital offerings. Clients are able to communicate with their relationship managers via online banking or the SC Mobile app in a seamless, secure and convenient way. Access to the secured communication portal is simple. Clients can reach out to their relationship managers through My RM simply by logging in their banking accounts.

Supported by My RM’s document and file sharing, screen sharing, text chat and audio call functions, clients would be able to get detailed market updates from their relationship managers without visiting the branch.

Standard Chartered offers a comprehensive set of wealth management solutions on its online banking and SC Mobile app, helping clients to manage their money and build wealth according to their risk appetite and investment needs.

Investment Funds – Standard Chartered’s in-house Fund Select team analyses hundreds of funds from local and global providers and identifies quality funds under different asset classes for clients. To enhance flexibility in fund investment, clients can now invest in unit trusts with as low as HKD1,000. New clients who subscribed fund via Standard Chartered’s online or mobile banking can also enjoy 0% subscription fee for six months.

Foreign Exchange – A one-stop FX platform on SC Mobile App, with price alerts and latest update on the FX market, allowing clients to trade anytime, anywhere. Depending on the accumulated transaction amount, clients will be upgraded to the respective Membership Tier and entitled to exclusive rewards.

Securities – Priority Private/Priority Banking/Premium Banking Clients who newly sign up for Securities Account can enjoy $0 brokerage commission offer for 3 months for BUY securities transactions via Online Banking and SC Equities app.

Insurance - Give clients a peace of mind and protection with wide range of insurance products, including Voluntary Insurance Health Scheme (VHIS) plans. Selected clients who apply for essential critical care on SC mobile can enjoy a 3-month premium waiver.

SC Live – Selected clients can interact with seasoned investment specialists on online live chat via web-based seminars and learn investment tips.

‘My RM’ allows the client to see the availability of his/her relationship manager, allows the relationship manager to share market information and documents, offer screen sharing to showcase  market updates and the Bank’s views, allows the Fund Select team to identify quality funds under different asset classes for clients, and offers a one-stop FX platform with price alerts and latest update on the FX market allowing clients to trade anytime, anywhere.
