Eight Wealth International (EWI), a Principal Partner Practice of wealth management group St. James’s Place (SJP), has announced the appointment of Simon Lints as a strategic adviser based in Singapore.

Lints brings over 30 years of experience in wealth management as well as a strong track record in building and growing businesses in the international financial services sector across various geographies including Asia, Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining EWI, Lints held senior roles in wealth management and private banking at Credit Suisse and UBS, and was most recently the CEO of Schroders Wealth Management Singapore where he looked after the Southeast Asia portfolio.

As part of Lints’ role with EWI, he will focus on driving the firm’s strategic expansion and business development in Asia amid growing demands for tailored financial advice amongst high net worth clients and family offices in the region. He will also work closely with the senior EWI management team in client advisory as well as identifying strategic opportunities for business acquisition and partnership.

Ian Riggs, Group CEO of Eight Wealth, said: “Simon has significant experience and knowledge of Asia’s wealth management industry, and we are delighted to welcome him to our team. As Asia continues to grow as an attractive destination for investors, their appointments are testament to our growth aspirations and long-term commitment to meeting the needs of affluent and high net worth clients in the region.”

Simon Lints, Strategic Adviser, EWI, said: “The wealth management growth that we are seeing in the region will likely continue in the near future with the fast-growing affluent segment in major Asian markets. My commitment has always been to deliver the very highest standards of service to clients, and I am eager to help them benefit from not only EWI’s ethos of being a reliable, honest and trustworthy partner but also from St. James’s Place proposition, in particular their distinctive Investment Management Approach as well as the resources available from a FTSE 100 Company.”
