Schroders Capital Expands Private Equity Capabilities in Singapore

Schroders Capital, the UK-based asset manager, is taking significant steps to bolster its private equity capabilities in Singapore. This expansion effort includes the appointment of Ankita Baheti as Investment Director for Private Equity, as well as plans to broaden resources in secondaries and India private equity.

Ankita Baheti, who has joined Schroders Capital, will be based in Singapore and will primarily focus on the secondaries market. She will work closely with David Bajada, Investment Director for Private Equity at Schroders Capital, as well as the broader Asian private equity team. Prior to joining Schroders Capital, Baheti served as Vice President at TPG NewQuest in Mumbai.

In line with its growth strategy, Schroders Capital's private equity team aims to further expand its presence in Singapore, with plans to increase its headcount in the coming months.

Rainer Ender, Global Head of Private Equity at Schroders Capital, expressed confidence in Ankita's appointment, noting her extensive sector expertise and strong track record in secondary execution. He emphasized that her addition aligns perfectly with their strategic goals and reflects their commitment to staying at the forefront of the dynamic markets they operate in.
