Ripple appoints Head of Operations for Southeast Asia

Ripple, a real-time gross settlement system provider, has appointed Kelvin Lee as Head of Southeast Asia operations.

In this role, Lee will be in charge of overseeing Ripple’s regional expansion, and will be charged with growing the firm’s customer base, according to a report by Finews Asia.

Prior to joining Ripple, Lee held senior roles at Mastercard, Visa, and FIS, amongst others, having been based in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He has experience in roles spanning financial payments, fraud and risk management, data solutions and online mobile banking solutions.

Kelvin Lee, Head of Operations, Southeast Asia, Ripple, said “We want to enable money to flow across borders as quickly as data does, by empowering players in the remittance and money transfer market.”

Ripple’s real-time gross settlement solutions is powered by blockchain technology, and the firm has clients in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
