MetLife launches second start-up engagement programme

LumenLab, MetLife Asia’s Singapore-based innovation centre, has launched collab 2.0, its second start-up engagement programme, and is looking for start-ups that can help address MetLife’s problem statements with innovative solutions.

The overall winner will be awarded a JPY10 million contract (USD91,300) to pilot their solution at MetLife Japan, MetLife’s largest business in Asia.

“Engaging with the start-up community through such platforms is critical as we look to shape the future of the insurance industry and redefine the way we interact with our customers,” said Zia Zaman, LumenLab chief executive officer, and chief innovation officer of MetLife Asia.

Applications are being sought for innovative solutions in customer engagement, sales, and back-end and front-end operations.

MetLife’s inaugural corporate start-up engagement programme, collab, attracted 139 worldwide applications from 34 countries.
