IQ-EQ appoints Business Development Director in Hong Kong

IQ-EQ, a leading global investor services group, has announced the appointment of Kenny Yeung as its new Business Development Director in Hong Kong.

Yeung brings 18 years of professional experience in the management consulting, private equity and financial services sectors, 12 of which have been focused on sales and business development of financial services products, IQ-EQ said in a press release.

He joins IQ-EQ from a competing international fiduciary and financial services provider, where he held the title of Commercial Director. Before that, he was an associate director focused on Asia-Pacific business development for international offshore law firm Harneys.

Since joining Harneys in 2013, Yeung has developed specialist expertise in fund formation and alternative investments with a focus on opportunities in Greater China. In his new role with IQ-EQ Hong Kong, Yeung will help maximise the organic growth of the group’s alternative funds business by building IQ-EQ’s network and winning new clients across Greater China and the wider East Asia region. He has an MBA from the University of Missouri as well as a BA in Economics.

Kenny Yeung, Business Development Director, Hong Kong, IQ-EQ, said: “I am excited to be joining IQ-EQ as the global firm continues to grow and strengthen its operations in Asia. I look forward to working closely with the rest of the business development team across Hong Kong and Singapore to help build IQ-EQ’s profile throughout the region and achieve continued business success.”

Jimmy Leong, Chief Commercial Officer, Asia, IQ-EQ, said: “On behalf of IQ-EQ I am very pleased to welcome Kenny to the team in Hong Kong. Greater China is of great strategic significance to our group as wealth continues to grow at a pace in the region, new structuring solutions become available locally and more and more opportunities open up in the private wealth and funds spheres. Kenny has truly excellent knowledge and experience in this space and I have no doubt he will prove himself a valuable member of the team as we seek to continue driving our Asian funds business forward.”
