Brookfield Oaktree Expands APAC Distribution Team with Notable Hires

Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions has made strategic additions to its Asia Pacific distribution team, solidifying its commitment to the region's wealth management market. Notably, the company has recruited Mandy Lee, formerly the co-head of Asia private bank distribution at BlackRock, to join its ranks.

Mandy Lee, who brings a wealth of experience from her tenure at BlackRock, will take on the role of senior vice president and client relationship manager for the Asia Pacific team. In this capacity, she will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for overseeing distribution efforts in Southeast Asia. Her primary focus will be on expanding relationships with private banks and intermediaries across the Southeast Asian region.

Joining Mandy Lee is Nobuhiro Sato, who has assumed the position of client relationship manager, vice president. Sato, based in Tokyo, joins Brookfield Oaktree from Schroders Investment Management (Japan), where he held the position of senior relationship manager. In his new role, Sato will contribute to strengthening the company's presence and relationships with major Japanese distributor groups.

Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions, which was formally launched in April 2021, has rapidly emerged as a prominent player in the wealth management landscape. The platform offers a wide range of investment strategies, including liquid, semi-liquid, and private options across various asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, credit, and private equity.

The firm boasts a global presence, with 150 employees spread across ten countries, and manages an impressive portfolio with assets exceeding $850 billion as of June. These recent hires signify Brookfield Oaktree's dedication to further expanding its presence and reach in the Asia Pacific market, capitalizing on the growing demand for wealth management solutions in the region.
