Barings announces appointment of Head of Institutional Distribution for Greater China and SE Asia

Barings has reportedly appointed Lydia Wu as Head of Institutional Distribution for Greater China and Southeast Asia.

She will begin in her role immediately, and will be based in Hong Kong. Wu will report to Jon Millin, according to a report by Finews Asia.

Wu has over 15 years of experience in fund management sales and business development in Asia. Prior to joining Barings, she was a Greater China senior vice president at Oaktree Capital. Previously, she also worked with BNY Mellon, State Street Global Advisors and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

Duncan Robertson, Head, APAC, Barings, said: “Barings’ Asia Pacific business continues to grow with about a third of external assets under management originating from clients within the region.”
