Aberdeen Standard Investments names new head for China

Amy Wang will join Aberdeen Standard Investments on 1 September to run its Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) – Aberdeen Asset Management (Shanghai) – and be the firm’s senior representative in China.

She is a Chinese national, and worked as chief representative for Franklin Templeton for 12 years before joining Pioneer Investments in 2015.

She previously worked in New York for ratings agency Fitch and as an economist at the IMF in Washington DC.

Wang’s immediate task is to help bring together the two China teams of Standard Life Investments and Aberdeen Asset Management, following the merger of their UK parent companies in mid-August.
