The next generation of digital tools in wealth management

David Wilson leads Accenture’s Asia Wealth Management practice, working with the senior leadership teams of the region’s wealth management firms to enable business growth and improve organizational enablement and efficiency. Previously, David was a team lead within UOB’s Group Strategy & Transformation function leading key Board- and Executive Committee-level strategy and digital transformation programs. Prior to UOB he spent over a decade in consulting and wealth management with Capgemini, Merrill Lynch, and UBS.

Adam Cowperthwaite is Asia Pacific Head of Capital Markets at Citi Private Bank. In this role he is responsible for the management and development of Citi Private Bank’s cash, derivatives and structured solutions product offerings for Asia Pacific clients across equities, foreign exchange, fixed income & rates, credit and commodities. Adam is an investment and risk management specialist, whose career in equity, fixed income, commodity and alternative-asset derivatives began in London in 1996. Prior to joining Citi in April 2014, he held derivative structuring, sales and sales management positions in London and Hong Kong, at US, European and Japanese investment banks, including J. P. Morgan, Credit Suisse and Daiwa Capital Markets. His clients have included an extensive range of private banks, family offices, corporates, retail banks, asset managers and insurance companies. Adam is a third-generation Hong Kong citizen and a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Harmen Overdijk is Chief Investment Officer of Leo Wealth, a Hong Kong based asset management firm focused on fee-based asset management. Leo Wealth was created from the strategic merger of two existing independent asset managers, where the partners have decades of Asian and International wealth management experience. The firm’s philosophy is based on Evidence Based Investing. A disciplined approach that gains its insights about the markets and returns from academic research, structures portfolios along the dimensions of expected returns and adds value by integrating research, portfolio structure, and implementation. This investment approach makes extensive use of low cost investment instruments. Harmen is an expert portfolio manager with 20 years of investment management experience. Prior to Leo Wealth he held senior management and CIO roles for several successful asset management practices at EFG Asset Management, Fortis Bank and MeesPierson. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder and has an MSc in economics from Tilburg University, The Netherlands.

Ivan joined Saxo Markets in 2011 and is responsible for developing the wholesale solutions business in APAC. He leads a team that exclusively focuses on engagements with banks, brokers, wealth management and fintech firms to form collaborative partnerships to deliver digital wealth services to their customers. Ivan has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, being well versed across all asset classes and financial technology solutions.

Michael is a prominent figure in the financial services industry in Asia. With a depth of experience and expertise, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the industry for over 30 years, becoming a leading industry presence in the events, professional development, and publishing space in the region. He has been actively involved in the Asia-Pacific region since 1993. And has lived in Asia since 1995, holding positions in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Singapore.

Under his leadership, the company achieved significant success and was subsequently acquired by global business-to-business publisher Incisive Media in 2006. Michael continued to serve as the CEO of Pacific Prospect until October 2008. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Michael garnered 5 years of experience in financial markets publishing.

His career in this field began in 1993 when he joined Euromoney Publications as the publisher of the quarterly magazine, International Bond Investor. In 1995, Michael joined Thomson Financial Services (now owned by LSEG) and spearheaded the conception and launch of Finance Asia magazine. During his tenure as Managing Director of Finance Asia, he also initiated the Asian Debt Review, Asian Private Capital Magazine, and the Finance Asia Conference Business. In 1997, he founded FIA Limited, further expanding his contributions to the financial publishing industry.

Born in North Wales, Michael served as the head boy of St David's College Llandudno. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Cardiff University. Beyond his professional endeavours, Michael is a family-oriented individual and is happily married with three children: Reanna, Garett, and Tarryn.
