Peter Triggs is a Tax, Trust and Wealth Planning veteran with more than 30 years’ experience across Asia, The Middle East and Europe. He is now a Partner in 1291, (a wealth structuring and insurance business) lectures in Wealth Planning at the Wealth Management Institute in Singapore, and has his own consulting company. In previous capacitites, Peter served as: Managing Director, Head of Regional Wealth Planning, and Head of International Private Banking, DBS Private Bank in Singapore. Deputy CEO and Head of International Private Banking at Bank of China (Suisse) in Geneva. Managing Director, in various positions within Citibank Private Bank in London, Jersey, Geneva, Zurich and Singapore. His roles incluced Head of Citi Private Banking in Singapore and Malaysia and Head of Trust & Insurance in Asia. Prior to this, Peter was a Tax Principal for Deloitte in their London office. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Chartered Tax Advisor in the UK, a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is qualified in Insurance and Investments in Singapore. He has an Honours degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Birmingham.

John Shoemaker is Senior Counsel with Butler Snow in their Singapore office. John has more than 30 years’ experience in tax, legal & regulatory compliance, and is a common law lawyer with educational emphasis on taxation, trusts & estate planning. He also has extensive experience in ensuring multi-jurisdictional compliance for fiduciary product offerings (working with multijurisdictional outside counsel & adapting products for sale in relevant jurisdictions), including product management skills to direct complex products from concept to fully operational status.

Berry Wong is the Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific of Charles Monat Associates, based in Hong Kong. Berry is responsible for overseeing operations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. With his extensive experience in wealth planning and liquidity planning, he will develop wealth strategies to expand the market presence in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. Berry is a member of Charles Monat’s Operational Committee and oversees other management functions including Operations, Inforce Policy Servicing, Marketing, etc. Berry initially joined Charles Monat Associates as Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong. In his previous role, he is responsible for leading the Hong Kong team to develop independent life broker business in partnership with private banks. Berry has over 22 years of experiences working in major financial institutions in Asia. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, Berry lived in Canada where he finished his first degree in University of Toronto.

Nikki Koh is the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Singapore Chief Executive Officer of Charles Monat Associates. He is also the Principal Officer of our Malaysia business . He is based in Singapore and is responsible for leading the group’s strategic revenue growth ambitions by creating new income streams through additional products / solutions and by developing new partnerships and platforms. He also oversees our Singapore and Malaysia businesses. Nikki has over 25 years of insurance and banking experience acquired at Prudential Singapore, United Overseas Bank and HSBC. He has worked with the complete spectrum of segments including retail life insurance, consumer banking, business & commercial banking, priority banking and private banking. Starting out in sales and client advisory, Nikki has progressed into sales management, account management and general management. Graduating with a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, Nikki is also a member of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore and has spoken at several bank seminars for high net worth segments on the topics of legacy planning and business insurance in Singapore and overseas.

Simon Lo is the Chief Executive Officer, International Business of Charles Monat Associates, based in Singapore Simon began his career as an Assistant Attorney General with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. His duties include advising the State’s Department of Labor and Industries on regulatory matters and litigating civil cases in state court. Simon later entered private practice with an esteemed law firm where he excelled as a defense litigator. He has represented multinational corporations such as Walmart and ExxonMobil. ​ Simon later joined one of the oldest life insurance brokerage firms in the United States as Vice-President & General Counsel, Asia Pacific. Simon was responsible for building business operations in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. He also advised high net worth individuals and corporate clients throughout Asia and Middle East on matters related to personal estate planning, business succession strategy, executive compensation, and life insurance solutions. ​ Simon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and East Asian Studies from the University of Toronto, St. George. He went on to complete his Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan State University College of Law and served as a clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. ​ Since 2014, Simon has partnered with the Wealth Management Institute of Singapore to train financial professionals and graduate students on the subjects of life insurance solution and estate planning. In 2018 he was invited to join the National Technological University (NTU-WMI) as an adjunct professor.

Before joining EFG as Senior Managing Director, Head of Private Banking, Richard Straus was Managing Director and Market Head responsible for Bank Julius Baer's Taiwan customer franchise. Originally from the United States, he has lived and worked in Asia for nearly 20 years. He moved from Citi Private Bank where he headed up the Asian Family Office and Institutions business to Bank Julius Baer. Prior to that, Richard was in charge of Citi's offshore and onshore private banking activities for Taiwan. His 29 year banking career includes senior sales and product management roles as well as CFO and COO assignments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and the United States. Richard has a bachelor degree from Haverford College (PA, USA) and an MBA from Washington University (MO, USA). He has been a CFA charter holder since 1998. He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts, the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, and the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute. Richard resides in Hong Kong with his wife. He has two adult children, who live and work  in the United States. He enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking and playing the guitar.

Rohit Ganguli is the Head of Wealth Planning Asia at EFG Bank, he has two decades of experience working with clients to assist them in achieving their wealth planning objectives especially in relation to succession, legacy and asset protection needs. This often involves the use of trusts, foundations, corporate entities and other holding vehicles. Rohit is responsible for all aspects of the insurance activity in EFG in Asia. This involves supporting all insurance related discussions – including identifying life insurance referral opportunities based on clients’ wealth and liquidity planning needs, extensively interacting with external counter parties (such as insurance brokers and carriers) and also actively engaging with related stake holders within the bank. He manages all discussions around single family offices (SFO) and works closely with clients on the benefits and processes involved in the set up of SFOs. Rohit has a background in accountancy and also holds a Master’s degree in International Tax Law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He is a registered trust and estate practitioner (TEP) and holds a diploma from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is also certified with the Singapore College of Insurance. He has worked across geographies and has been with Big 4 consulting firms and MNCs prior to joining the bank.

Oliver is a banking professional with more than 25 years of experience as a senior banker and leader of high performing private banking teams. His guiding principle to success is his client centric approach and his deep understanding of cultural diversity. Oliver has been in Asia for most part of his career and his responsibilities and coverage span beyond Switzerland and London. He has also developed and expanded the private banking business of a banking institution in London and was responsible to setting up the private banking department of a newly created bank in Singapore beside managing his own clients. As a senior banker, Oliver has lead several successful team of private bankers with clients located in Europe, South East Asia, India, South America and segments such as the External Asset Managers and Global South Asian. Oliver holds a degree from the University of Lausanne Switzerland, an MBA from Cass Business School London and a specialisation from both the London Business School and Columbia Business School New York. Oliver is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Davin Wong is the Chief Executive Officer, Singapore of Private Client Services by Mercer Pte. Ltd. Davin joined PCS in 2021 and is responsible for developing the strategic plans for the South East Asia market as well as managing key partner relationships in this region. Prior to joining PCS, Davin was at VP Bank where he served as an Executive Director. He also held similar leadership roles in Bank Julius Baer, ANZ, UOB, DBS and HSBC. He has over 20 years of wealth management, client advisory and private banking experience in both frontline and leadership roles covering various geographies. Davin holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Finance and a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese (Dialects) and Hokkien.

Mr. Harold Ng has been with Great Eastern Life for 31 years. He has achieved 20 times MDRT and COT and is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table in USA. He was the Top #1 Group Director when Great Eastern Life celebrated her 100th year birthday. Year to-date, The Financialists is ranked #2 in Great Eastern Life and FA. In 2006, Harold was seconded to Indonesia to be Great Eastern Life Indonesia’s CEO/President Director. Under Harold’s leadership, Great Eastern Indonesia achieved a five-fold increase in revenues in the first 9 months and another ten-fold increase in revenues in the following 9 months - through Bancassurance sales with a public listed bank NISP in Indonesia. During his short 18-months tenure as CEO of Great Eastern Life Indonesia, Harold also brought the company’s overall ranking from the 32nd position to the 22nd position in the Indonesian insurance industry.
