Mr. Powers covers the Chinese financial services industry, with a specialization on domestic asset managers and internet finance. He advises clients on strategy, execution, valuation and due diligence services on the Mainland. He’s recently worked with a North American hedge fund to provide a market assessment and positioning of the mainland private fund market. He also aided a major European financial institution in establishing its mainland operations. Other projects include due diligence on a Chinese brokerage for a British asset manager and identifying Chinese buyers for a Russian asset manager. Mr. Powers has also led the firm’s efforts in the burgeoning internet finance industry, advising clients on distribution and product strategies to capitalize on recent growth in online finance. Prior to joining Z-Ben Advisors, he worked at ZPMC, a Chinese state-owned-entity based in Shanghai. He then worked as a consultant for Waypointe, a supply chain consulting company based in Shanghai.Mr. Powers has an A.B. from the University of Chicago with a double concentration in History and Philosophy.

Crystal Jiang has many years of experience in the financial and media industry. She founded Donglin Family Office in 2008, which is the first cross-border family office with global capacities in China. Prior to joining Standard Chartered and HSBC, Crystal was TV Host in Phoenix Satellite Television, anchoring various financial news-related programs including ‘News Talk Today’ and ‘International News Reporting’ Crystal was the Champion of 2003 Miss Chinese Cosmo Pageant.

Crystal holds a Master Degree in Media Management and Social Science from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Communication, International Journalism and English Broadcasting from Communication University of China.

Ray Chou is a Principal in the Greater China Financial Services Practice of Bain & Company. He was previously with MasterCard as Head of Business Development. He has extensive experience across full-potential strategy, NPS®, performance improvement, business model design and organisational transformation. He has recently led multiple innovative projects in wealth management and asset management in the context of digitalisation trend in China. Ray holds an MBA degree from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, honored with Haas Merit Scholarship.

Peter is responsible for the leadership and growth of Amicorp's global Institutional Sales division, across more than 40 offices and 30 countries, running a sales team of 12 across Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Zurich, New York and Miami. The Institutional Sales division leads Amicorp's engagement with its top 50 priority relationships, including global private banks, family offices, professional services firms and independent asset managers.

In this role, Peter has led a number of major transactions, involving entity and portfolio acquisitions that accelerate the growth of Amicorp’s fiduciary offerings in key markets, product segments and jurisdictions. Jennifer Lai heads the growing team in Henley & Partners Hong Kong Ltd. Jennifer now oversees the major markets of Hong Kong office (including China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Nepal and Mongolia) and leads the office’s business strategy of extending the firm’s portfolio of Residence and Citizenship Solutions to the ever-increasing number of private clients in the region. Joined Henley & Partners in 2010 when the company established the first Asian Pacific office in the region. She is a renowned expert on International residence and citizenship planning and a private client advisor. She frequently provides trainings to professionals in the financial institutions as well as the consultants in the industry; and she also speaks at seminars, summits, forums, conference related to the residence and citizenship industry. Jennifer has over 15 years of substantial experiences on Chinese market. He also represents private equity, investment banks and other financial institutions in the areas of corporate finance, growth and buyout private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, reverse mergers, capital markets, and direct investment in China.

Kristy Calvert has more than 15 years’ experience of working on cross-border transactions including general corporate and commercial law matters, the establishment and maintenance of investment funds and the structuring of complex M&A, JV, private equity, mining and capital markets transactions in the Asia-Pacific region. Kristy also has wide-ranging and practical knowledge of offshore structures of value to HNW clients including offshore trusts and in particular BVI Vista trusts.  

Prior to joining Harneys, she was Managing Director, China at another leading international offshore law firm. Before that, she held senior roles in the Asia Pacific including Legal Director, Rio Tinto - China/Asia based in both Melbourne and Shanghai. She was also a senior private practice lawyer at international law firms Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Sidley Austin and prior to that, Freehills in Australia. 

Kristy has also worked as an adviser at the Australian Government Treasury on FTA negotiations with ASEAN countries including China and competition law policies and reforms. In 2008-2009, Kristy served on the Board of the Australia China Business Council, Victoria Division. 
Kristy is regularly featured and quoted in external publications and was named in the 2011 Asian Legal Business “Hot 100” list of pre-eminent lawyers in Asia and the Asian Legal Business “Hot 40” list of pre-eminent lawyers in Australia and New Zealand. Kristy co-founded a general counsel association for multi-national companies working in the PRC. In 2012, she also co-founded a senior women’s network, allowing female leaders to interact with each other in a social forum to share ideas and interests.
