Arun Abey co-founded the international lifestyle financial planning firm ipac Securities, which has enjoyed 25 years of uninterrupted growth. Key to its success has been the philosophy of building long-term relationships to help its clients discover and achieve their most important lifestyle goals.
Arun is renowned as a strategic thinker whose views are often sought in the corporate world and widely quoted in the media. After the sale of ipac to AXA Asia Pacific, he remained Executive Chairman of ipac and took on the role of Head of Strategy for AXA.
Arun co-authored the international bestseller “Fortune Strategy”, described by the Financial Review as one of the best books published on investment. He also co-authored ”How Much is Enough?” which was published in 2009 and described by the University of California Los Angeles’ Professor Schlomo Benartzi as being a great book, bringing to life research in behavioural finance and psychology in a very practical way.
Arun graduated with First Class Honours in Arts and Economics from the Australian National University, is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, and worked in economic research before starting ipac in 1983.
