Fabian DePrey is Director, Global Investment Solutions at RBC Capital Markets, based in Hong Kong.
Until the end of 2010, Fabian was Co-Head of Global Markets for Fortis Bank in Asia. He started his career as a management trainee in 1999 in the Equity Cash division, covering BeNeLux institutional clients. One year later, he initiated and led the Equity Derivatives Structuring and Sales department for the bank. From 2001 until 2005, he successfully developed the European platform covering most countries.
In 2005, Fabian moved to Hong Kong to set up the Equity Derivatives desk including Trading, Structuring, Sales and Middle Office. Simultaneously, he remained Global Head of Equity Derivatives Sales, overseeing further European expansion and developing the sales platform in the US.
In 2008, he was made Co-Head of Global Markets for Asia, overseeing mainly Equity, Commodities and FIG (the banks' relationship managers), and is a member of the APAC Fortis Board.
Fabian graduated from the Solvay Business School in Belgium with Magna cum Laude degrees in Finance (1999).
