Hrishikesh Parandekar is the CEO and Group Head - Broking, Wealth Management and Asset Management for the Karvy Group. He is a key member of the Karvy Group leadership team. His able leadership has ensured that within a very short span the Karvy businesses managed by him have scaled new heights. Hrishikesh manages the Karvy Stock Broking, Karvy Private Wealth, Karvy Real Estate, Karvy Capital, Karvy Middle East and Fixed Income businesses.
Prior to joining Karvy to start Karvy Private Wealth and having it scale such heights, Hrishikesh had a distinguished 15-year career working for organisations such as Morgan Stanley and McKinsey.
He worked for Morgan Stanley as the Managing Director and Head of the Latin American Private Wealth and the International Retail businesses, sitting on the exclusive Global Private Wealth Management Executive and Operating Committees. His wide ranging responsibilities spanned professionals based in the US, Latin America, and Switzerland. Before heading the businesses, Hrishikesh was responsible for strategic planning in the global private wealth business.
Before joining Morgan Stanley, Hrishikesh was a senior consultant with McKinsey. He started with McKinsey in India, joining the Mumbai office as one of its earliest consultants. At McKinsey he was instrumental in building a strong practice in serving financial institutions in India. Besides India, he also had global stints working out of the firm’s offices in Abu Dhabi, Chicago, Kuala Lumpur, and New York where Hrishikesh specialised in serving investment houses, banks, and insurers, on issues related to strategy, investing, and product management.
Hrishikesh earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, where he was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for graduating ranked number one in his class. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bombay.
Hrishikesh is also on the Board of Directors of Shree Renuka Sugars, India’s largest integrated sugar company.
