Stephane Schmid has joined Singapore-based external asset manager HP Wealth Management as a partner.
With more than 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Schmid joins from his role as managing director at Pictet & Cie in Singapore – where his responsibilities included human resources, finance, independent asset management (IAM), trading as well as business development in South Asia wealth management. Prior to that, Schmid spent six years with UBS in Geneva and New York.
"I am very pleased to join a totally independent asset manager and look forward to bringing the combined expertise of HP Wealth Management to my clients and prospects,” said Schmid.
In his new role he will develop his own book of business and set the strategy for the firm with senior management going forward.
Said Urs Brutsch, managing partner & founder: “We look forward to his contribution in further strengthening the offering at HP Wealth Management. His appointment underscores the growing interest of senior bankers to operate from within truly independent asset managers.”
