Driven by recent client acquisitions in Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong, Pictet Asset Management (PAM) has been growing its Asian business, especially in emerging market debt.

Pictet Securities Investment Consulting Enterprise (Taiwan) Limited was incorporated in July 2011 and then approved as a master agent of Pictet’s funds, authorised in Taiwan for public distribution, in March 2012. The firm plans to register its emerging market debt products with the Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission for public offering this summer.

In line with this expansion, PAM has appointed Koonnang Tse as vice president, business development. With close to 15 years of professional experience in the financial industry, Tse will support PAM’s institutional asset management business initiatives in Asia. Tse was previously with Amundi Asset Management.
