Standard Chartered has appointed Tim Hinton, formerly head of private banking in the UK and Jersey, as global head of SME banking.
Hinton succeeds Som Subrot, who has been appointed as regional head of consumer banking for South-east Asia.
Based in Singapore, Hinton will be responsible for strategy and driving growth of the bank’s SME business in 30 countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
