Lombard Odier has strengthened its capabilities in Asia by hiring Pranay Gupta as chief investment officer (CIO) for the region, and global head of investment solutions.
In addition, the firm has bolstered its private banking team with the appointment of Simon Tam from UBS Wealth Management.
Gupta, who was previously CIO of ING Investment Management in Asia Pacific, is responsible in his new role for further strengthening Lombard Odier’s investment capability in Asia and delivering customised investment solutions for clients on a global basis.
At ING, he oversaw the management of US$85 billion of institutional, retail and insurance assets across 10 countries in Asia Pacific.
Meanwhile, Tam joins the team of senior relationship managers in Hong Kong as managing director, bringing over 30 years of wealth management and private banking experience, most recently as head of UBS Wealth Management’s ultra high net worth group in Hong Kong.
