JPMorgan lures more senior bankers in continued wealth expansion

JPMorgan is continuing to expand its private wealth management offering in Asia by hiring two senior bankers from RBC and Citi.

JPMorgan is continuing to expand its private wealth management offering in Asia by hiring two senior bankers from RBC and Citi.

Based in Hong Kong, Mark Evans has joined JPMorgan Private Wealth Management (PWM), the part of the business which serves clients with a net worth from US$10 million to US$30 million, as managing director, market manager for expatriates. He was most recently a managing director with Royal Bank of Canada in London.
 
Based in Singapore, Salman Haider is joining JPMorgan PWM as managing director, market manager for South-east Asia. He has previously spent nine years with Citibank, holding wealth management roles in Zurich, London and Singapore, and most recently regional head of Citibank’s private client group covering the high net worth (HNW) client segment across 14 markets in Asia.

Said Peter Flavel, chief executive officer of JPMorgan Private Wealth Management in Asia:  “Salman will lead our efforts to grow the important South-east Asia HNW market. The HNW expatriate segment is a new market for us and Mark will lead the development of that practice where we will cover the ever growing presence of HNW expatriates working across Asia.”
