Three senior private bankers have joined Standard Chartered Private Bank to strengthen its North-east Asian business.

The new recruits are: Lionel Kwok as regional head of investment advisory for North-east Asia – covering Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Korea; Trevor Mak as head of relationship management in Hong Kong; and Stella Kong as head of relationship management in China.

Kwok was most recently head of investment solutions for Credit Suisse Private Banking in North Asia.

According to Stephen Richards Evans, Standard Chartered’s regional head of private banking for North-east Asia, the bank saw 26% growth in assets under management in Asia last year.

“We see wealth growing at a good, low double digit-rate in our part of Asia going forward,” he added.
